About Citizens AdviceĀ

For over 80 years Citizens Advice have been at the heart of communities across England and Wales helping people with free, impartial advice online, on the phone and in person.

No one else sees so many people with so many different kinds of problems, and that gives Citizens Advice a unique insight into the challenges people are facing today.

In 2021-22 they helped over 2.55 million people find a way forward with one-to-one advice. And their advice website had over 58 million views of online self-help advice.

Our challenge

The latest estimates, around 16% of households in the UK were experiencing fuel poverty and with fuel bills expected to continue to rise, this figure is expected to increase to more than 50%.

We developed a two-tier campaign strategy to drive awareness and engagement, whilst increasing understanding and providing practical advice on how to save money on energy bills to those in need.

Our awareness creative concept focuses on the exact moment of realisation when you discover just how much you can save on your energy bill through simple actions. The campaign design is photography led representing the people we help and supporting ‘the moment of realisation’.

A second tier communication platform uses bold silhouette infographics supporting specific energy saving advice.

Delivered as a multi-channel campaign across out of home, digital, social media, partnership initiatives and pop-up events.
